BRANKURSINEWREATH

The English colonization was a regime
which was violating the human rights;
the English were taking whatever they could
from the Cypriot people and gave them as little as they could.
The Demand for "union" with Greece was general,
but the English interests didn't understand this kind of ideas,
like freedom, democracy, self determination.
Their command was cruel and inhuman,
which naturally caused a revolution.
Even then they found a way to divide the Cypriot people,
not only to Greeks and Turks,
but also to right wings and left wings.
The art of "divide and rule" was their discovery.
Despite all that the Cyprus people go in this war,
even though the differences got bigger
when the leadership of the revolution was offered
to a known fratricide general.
The fight against the English was carried out by all,
by left wings and right wings, by young and old.
One of them was the hero of this book,
a small boy who fought the English conquerors in his own way.
